φ凹(-φ凸)算子不动点定理及其应用

讨论了φ凹(-φ凸)算子,得到了φ凹增(-φ凸减)算子不动点存在唯一性结果,并且给出了收敛到该不动点的迭代序列.该结果去掉了以往文献中的φ→0(t→0~+)这一条件,从而改进和推广了相关结果.作为应用,给出了一类的Sturm-Liouville边值问题的正解的存在唯一性结果.     

MULTIPLE POSITIVE PERIODIC SOLUTIONS TO SINGULAR DIFFERENTIAL EQUATION WITH STATE-DEPENDENT DELAY

By virtue of the fixed point indices, we discuss the existence of the multiple positive periodic solutions to singular differential equation with state-dependent delay under the conditions concerning the first eigenvalue of the relevant linear operator. The results in this paper are optimal and totally generalize many present results.     

POSITIVE SOLUTIONS OF SINGULAR SECOND-ORDER NEUMANN BOUNDARY VALUE PROBLEM

In this paper, we obtain the existence of positive solutions for singular second-order Neumann boundary value problem by using the fixed point indices, the result generalizes some present results.     

Optimal insurance design with a bonus

This paper investigates an insurance design problem, in which a bonus will be given to the insured if no claim has been made during the whole lifetime of the contract, for an expected utility insured. In this problem, the insured has to consider the so-called optimal action rather than the contracted compensation (or indemnity) due to the existence of the bonus. For any pre-agreed bonus, the optimal insurance contract is given explicitly and shown to be either the full coverage contract when the insured pays high enough premium, or a deductible one otherwise. The optimal contract and bonus are also derived explicitly if the insured is allowed to choose both of them. The contract turns out to be of either zero reward or zero deductible. In all cases, the optimal contracts are universal, that is, they do not depend on the specific form of the utility of the insured. A numerical example is also provided to illustrate the main theoretical results of the paper.

本文讨论了一类半正奇异Sturm-Liouville边值问题正解的存在性,其中非线性项f(t,u)关于t=0,1和u=0奇异.在非线性项可取负值且下方无界的情形下,利用不动点指数理论以及线性算子的特征值理论得到了该问题正解存在性结果.

本文讨论了一类二阶时滞微分方程边值问题的正解存在性,在不要求非线性项取值恒为非负的情形下,利用锥上不动点指数的计算得到了该问题的正解.     

On the unimprovability of full-memory strategies in the risk minimization problem

We continue the study of approximation properties of local exponential splines on a uniform grid with step h > 0 corresponding to a linear differential operator L with constant coefficients and real pairwise different roots of the characteristic polynomial (such splines were constructed by E.V. Strelkova and V.T. Shevaldin). We find order estimates as h → 0 for the error of approximation of certain Sobolev classes of functions by splines of the described type that are exact on the kernel of the operator L.
